History
Initial Concepts & Designs Created
In 2007, the inventor (Fred Davis) created initial concepts and designs for a compact wastewater inlet screen to remove debris and grit from incoming flow to treatment works.
Design benefits included low hydraulic loss, reduced impact-damage and clogging. It used contemporary and novel techniques.
The sewage screen eliminated the requirement for additional grit removal, greatly removing carbon footprint.
The new concept costs less to build, install and maintain due to its enhanced debris capture ratio.
1st Patent Iteration Filed
The patent for the 1st iteration was filed by Anglian Water Services in 2012.
The prototype was made and initial tests exceeded expectations.
Fred Retired & The Project Moved Forward
Fred retired in 2014 and has continued to refine and expand the concept.
Current events have caused a groundswell of interest to move this forward…
